IRIS Movie of the Day
At least once a week a movie of the Sun taken by NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) is posted by one of the scientists operating the instrument.
Dancing loops

The Sun doesn't always need to provide a huge eruption to show us something fascinating. In this movie, IRIS captures bright loops appear to dance around as they rise and fall. It reminds me of an elaborate water fountain display.
