IRIS Movie of the Day
At least once a week a movie of the Sun taken by NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) is posted by one of the scientists operating the instrument.
Continued Limb Activity from AR13190

A recent Movie of the Day entry took a look at the remnants of an M flare from AR13190 at the limb. Even after that flare faded away, IRIS continued to observe this region. And although there wasn't any activity as large at the M flare, the region did continue to produce interesting events and features. This movie is a series of several observations taken over the course of about 4 hours. Throughout the movie, many different loop and jet structures pop in and out of view against the black background of space. Limb observations are often some of the most exciting to look at, and these datasets are certainly no exception.
