IRIS Movie of the Day
At least once a week a movie of the Sun taken by NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) is posted by one of the scientists operating the instrument.
Flare in AR13186

On January 10th 2023, IRIS has observed AR13186. On the left part of the left sunspot of this active region, some brightening occurs corresponding to the emergence of a small flare.
