M-Class Flare Co-Observed with SST

In this video of Active Region 13102, we see a series of micro flares go off over the course of about four hours, until finally the region brightens rapidly in a much larger M1.0 flare. This flare was co-observed by the Swedish Solar Telescope (SST), a ground-based telescope in the Canary Islands. SST studies the Sun in visible light, which provides complementary information to IRIS's ultraviolet observations.
