IRIS Movie of the Day
At least once a week a movie of the Sun taken by NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) is posted by one of the scientists operating the instrument.
M and C-class flares at the limb

On April 30th, M and C class flares are produced in AR12995. It shows how flares rise and eject the plasma at upper layers of the solar atmosphere.
