Prominences at the West limb
Credit: IRIS, LMSAL/NASA, Conrad Schwanitz
On 20-Nov-2021 a campaign on the West limb was done in coordination with Parker Solar Probe. During this observation, prominences are visible in IRIS 2796, which represents the Mg II hk line. The observations for this campaign ran for about 12 hours. This allows to nicely follow the evolution of the prominences. A nice addition to this is the SDO/AIA 304 waveband, which shows the HE II line.
