IRIS Movie of the Day
At least once a week a movie of the Sun taken by NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) is posted by one of the scientists operating the instrument.
Hot flare ends with coronal rain

On 30 August 2015, the Sun emitted an M1.4 flare with very hot post flare loops and ending with coronal rain.
