IRIS Movie of the Day
At least once a week a movie of the Sun taken by NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) is posted by one of the scientists operating the instrument.
Two-ribbon flare

On December 14 2017, IRIS observed a B1.1 flare from 05:24UT to 06:23UT. Flare ribbons were observed, and the slit crossed the flare at the beginning of the movie.
